The High Level Political Forum will take place from 7th to 16th July under the motto “Accelerated action and transformative pathways: realizing the decade of action and delivery for sustainable development”. Unique this year in regard of the Corona Pandemic is the focus on the topic “building back better” in terms of the reactions of the community of states to the far-reaching social and economic consequences of the virus outbreak.

For this purpose, a special event on the topic of Partnerships – Partnerships against COVID-19 – building back better together to advance the 2030 Agenda – took place on 7th July. In light of the common need for global recovery, there was a discussion on how science, politics, business and civil society can use their synergies in the form of multi-stakeholder-partnerships to support developing countries in their crisis management and dealing with the effects of COVID-19. The aim of these discussions and contributions was to improve the project work on the 2030 Agenda Partnership Accelerator – a project for the rapid implementation of effective partnerships to support 2030 Agenda – in a sustainable manner.
