MSP for implementing the 2030 Agenda: Improving accountability and transparency

The study, which was prepared for the 2016 ECOSOC Partnership Forum in March 2016, deals with best practices in partnering and shows how they can be improved in terms of transparency, accountability and sharing of experience. The study begins by offering an overview of partnerships, their success factors and their history in the UN context. It then reviews relevant research findings and, on this basis, identifies scope for improvements. In addition, it outlines what a coherent process and multi-level architecture for partnerships might look like in the UN.
